About the Program


'Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation (LINC)' aims at win-win development between universities and regional industries through creating leading models of industry-university cooperation based on diversification, characterization, sustainability, and extending the scope of industry-university cooperation.

To cultivate brilliant talents necessary to deliver the technological innovation of leading industries in the Dong-Nam region, Pusan National University (PNU) established its 'PNU-LINC' project group linking up the College of Engineering, College of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, College of Natural Resource and Life Sciences, College of Human Ecology, College of Business, and the College of Economics and International Trade, and attracting government aided projects that invest 4 to 5 billion won annually for five years as of 2012.
'PNU-LINC' will raise the global competitiveness of the Dong-Nam Economic Region to the world’s best level by nurturing experts in Dong-Nam region’s leading industries such as High-tech Fusion Machinery and Ship Equipment Parts and Materials and 'High Efficiency Green Energy'.

To achieve this, the 'PNU-LINC' will cultivate well-trained technical professionals with high field adaptability and creativity by enhancing field training through close collaboration between about 500 family companies and research institutes, and by having more undergraduate and graduate students on the Capstone Design and the industry-university cooperation projects.
Based on the successful implement of this project, PNU will have the great opportunity to jump up to be a core university who leads the specialized industries; 'High-tech Fusion Machinery & Ship Equipment Parts and Materials’ industries and 'High Efficiency Green Energy' industries.
